Pricing & terms

Therapy can be approached as a helpful resource for when we need a safe space, or contracting in some additional support when we are in a tough situation. It can also be approached as a PhD in how we respond to life… what makes us tick.

These are all valid uses of counselling, and it will be part of our initial discussion, as your goals for therapy will determine the scope and focus of our work. Many people find successful support from a small block of sessions. However, just as a PhD cannot be completed in 6 weeks, a deeper inquiry into ourselves will also require a regular commitment for an extended period of time. Counselling is an investment in yourself.

Key Details of my Contract

  • Each counselling session lasts 50 minutes and is priced at £50 (I do reserve a number of reduced price spaces for those on lower incomes – please enquire at consultation).
  • Sessions are held weekly or occasionally, by agreement, fortnightly. As such, your session time is reserved for you and any absence with less than 7 days notice will still be payable at 50% the agreed rate. Missed appointments with no notice will be payable in full.
  • Payment is required in advance by bank transfer. Where agreed, cash will be accepted in session.
  • Please respect your space by putting your phone on silent/do not disturb

Nobody likes to be put on the spot with a lot of information, especially during a first session when it can be daunting enough to be bringing your concerns to a stranger. I hope that by providing my counselling contract in advance, you will have time to reflect on any questions or concerns, and we can discuss them before we both sign the agreement.

If you are ready for the next step, please contact me to arrange your free 25 minute consultation. I look forward to discussing your goals.
